The 2nd best skincare routine in the world
If you’re using cold water and nothing else on your face, you’ve hit the sweet spot.
It’s tough to beat 2 million years of evolution.
If you use make-up, you will need to remove it and replace your natural oils. Then we can help.
We use the new learnings of the skin microbiome to create products that keep you as close as possible to your native state.

We bring you
Paleo BioTech
In our Sapienic Boost, we offer the ultimate skin prebiotic, Sapienic Acid. It is named for our species … sapiens … because it is the major component of human sebum and is not found in any other animal.
Our Probiotic Boost contains a consortium of living probiotic bacteria for skin with proven results
We are certified organic, carbon neutral, plastic neutral, cruelty-free and vegan.

We don’t do cleansers.
Your natural skin oil is precious.
Please stop washing it down the drain.
For two million years your ancestors washed with cool water.
Foaming products strip the sebum from your skin. That’s why we don’t make cleansers – just a clay-based makeup remover.
Sebum feeds your skin microbiome and that’s all that stands between you and the microbial shitstorm in your city of choice.

We don’t do moisturizers
We’ve broken the moisturizer into two parts … a lipid phase and a serum phase. This allows you to tailor the product to your skin’s needs. Add more lipid if your skin is dry and more serum if it is dehydrated.
This format also means that we can exclude the emulsifiers that would normally disrupt your skin’s natural microbiome.

Sensitive skin is a modern condition
Your ancestors didn’t get inflammatory skin conditions like acne and eczema.
Why?
Skin just wants the conditions for which it has evolved.
Your skin pays a price for living in the city
Modern living is comfortable but that comfort comes at a cost to both the global ecosystem and the ecosystem of your skin and gut.
We are losing our microbial partners; species that have co-evolved with us over the 2-million-year history of our genus.
In a perfect world, we would maintain contact with nature without sacrificing the joys and opportunities of urban life. We are a small step closer to that reality.
